Oruma captures the energy of Chile’s high-altitude vineyards, where mountain winds sweep through the vines. Sourced mainly from grapes grown in Maipo and Curicó, this Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend is packed with strawberry, blackberry and juicy bramble fruit. A gentle grip and touch of spice add texture and structure to the finish. Fruit-forward yet poised, this is an effortlessly enjoyable red.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Hernan de la Barra
Hernan de la Barra studied Viticulture and Winemaking in Chile and became a winemaker in 2002. He cut his teeth in the US working as an assistant winemaker in the Sonoma Valley and then headed out to Spain for a year. He returned to Chile in 2007 to work on a boutique project with an old friend before taking a role as chief winemaker at Chile's Isla de Maipo.
