Stellios Boutaris
Stellios Boutaris is a fifth generation winemaker and has run the Kir-Yianni family winery since 2002. His greatest ambition is to bring Greek wine to a global audience, highlighting the unique character of the indigenous Greek varieties, such as Xinomavro and Assyrtiko. He has managed to make Kir-Yianni one of Greece's most respected wine brands, with a philosophy centred around the desire for innovation, respect for tradition and true knowledge of the wine, from grape to bottle.
"This wine is made from the great white grape of Santorini, transplanted to Amyndeon in northern Greece. It has aromas of citrus, white fruits and flowers.
