Greek wine carries a rich legacy, with a winemaking tradition that predates many of today’s most celebrated wine regions. With Nyra, we honour that heritage and the mythical figures that helped shape it. Named after the Greek nymph of flowing water, this white blend brings together native Roditis and Kydonitsa grapes with a touch of the renowned Assyrtiko. The result is a crisp, refreshing wine bursting with vibrant aromas of lime, grapefruit and peach, finishing with a delicate hint of elderflower.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Leonidas Nassiakos
Leonidas, a third-generation winemaker, studied oenology at Patras University in Greece. He became chief winemaker at Chateau Semeli in 2000, while also crafting wines with his father at the family estate. Over the years, he has earned a reputation as the 'King of Moschofilero' in Greece. Today, he collaborates with George Kintonis at Kintonis Winery, producing exceptional wines from both indigenous Greek and international grape varieties.
