The Wine The Wine
Argentina
Region:Mendoza - Uco Valley
La Forja captures the raw energy of the Uco Valley, where high altitude, sandy soils and Andean breezes shape wines of power and precision. Warm days and cool nights build intensity while preserving freshness. Ripe blackberry and damson lead, layered with notes of coffee, raisin and dark chocolate. Rich yet balanced, it delivers depth without heaviness, power without excess, finishing long, smooth and refined.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Rodrigo Serrano
Domaine Bousquet was founded in 1997 when the Bousquet family planted high-altitude vineyards in Gualtallary, blending French heritage with Andean terroir. Now a benchmark for organic wines, the estate's winemaking team is led by Rodrigo Serrano, who crafts elegant, expressive wines with a focus on innovation.
"Cooling breezes from the Andes, combined with warm days and cool nights, help the grapes ripen slowly and evenly. Sandy soils naturally limit vigour and yield while allowing excellent drainage. With little rainfall, the vines are gently irrigated by snowmelt, and their deep roots draw out minerals that give the wine its distinctive character." - Rodrigo Serrano, Winemaker.
