The Wine

Country of origin:

France

Region:

Burgundy - Bourgogne

From the rolling granite and limestone soils of southern Burgundy, this 100% Gamay is all about bright fruit, purity and drinkability. Fief De Chassignol captures the lighter, brighter side of the region, where cool breezes and sunlit slopes coax out vibrant red cherry, raspberry and a hint of spice. It's the kind of wine locals might enjoy after a day in the vines, unfussy, fresh and pleasantly characterful.

The Winemaker

Didier Rageot
Winemaker:

Didier Rageot

Didier Rageot was born into a Burgundian winemaking family rooted since the 17th century. Trained in Dijon, where he earned his National Diploma in Oenology in 1988, he honed his craft across renowned estates in Burgundy, Languedoc and beyond. Returning to his roots, he now champions the Beaujolais Crus with precision and care, selecting exceptional grapes and crafting wines in the Burgundian style. His work reveals the elegance, depth and quiet power of Beaujolais' finest terroirs.

"Our aim is to let Gamay speak naturally of its Burgundian home. Bright fruit, gentle structure and a sense of place shaped by our soils and seasons. It's a wine to share, without the need overthink things." - Didier Rageot, Winemaker.
