The Wine

Country of origin:

France

Region:

Burgundy - Côte Chalonnaise

A cracking Pinot Noir, full of the charm of Burgundy's Côte Chalonnaise. A beautifully poised red that overdelivers on both character and drinkability. A wine layered with bright red cherry and raspberry fruit, lifted by subtle spice and there's just a touch of a Pinot's varietal gentle earthy edge. Silky tannins and fresh acidity keep things effortlessly balanced, making it just as appealing to seasoned Burgundy lovers as it is to those exploring Pinot Noir for the first time.

The Winemaker

Alain Pierre
Winemaker:

Alain Pierre

Born into a Burgundy winemaking family dating back to 1620, Alain Pierre grew up working in the vineyards with his grandfather. At 14 he committed to winemaking and later studied at the prestigious Dijon Burgundian school, earning his National Diploma in Oenology in 1988. After gaining experience in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Bordeaux, and South Africa, he returned to lead the family cellar.

"This classy Pinot Noir expresses the natural freshness of the region's vineyards, with delicate fruit, fine structure and an easy elegance that reflects the spirit of Côte Chalonnaise." - Alain Pierre, Winemaker.
