Taceo, meaning ‘to keep quiet’, is the perfect name for this richly fruited Eden Valley red from a producer whose identity must remain under wraps. High vineyards, ancient rocky soils and cool evening breezes bring freshness and structure to the bold Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz blend. Expect layers of cassis, blackberry and dark plum, wrapped in gentle spice, fine tannins and a smooth, generous finish.

Sometimes we can't tell you who the actual winemaker is. The usual reason for this is that they make expensive wine under their own name and they don't want the world to know they're also supplying their wine much cheaper under a different label. Why do they do this? Either they need an injection of cashflow or they've produced too much and don't want to swamp the market and cheapen their brand (or maybe we've just been able to sweet-talk them into doing us a favour).
