The Wine

Country of origin:

Argentina

Region:

Mendoza - Uco Valley

Set against the snow-capped Andes, the Uco Valley is celebrated for its high-altitude vineyards and distinctive microclimate, delivering grapes of remarkable intensity and balance. Each vineyard block is harvested individually, with only the finest Cabernet Franc and Malbec selected. Winemaker Stephen Huse combines traditional techniques with modern precision to capture the spirit of this extraordinary place. Amada Vista opens with aromas of chocolate and vanilla layered with mixed berries and a hint of rose petal. The palate is beautifully balanced, revealing ripe strawberry, blackberry and raspberry, framed by seamless oak, silky tannins and a long, satisfying finish.

The Winemaker

Stephen Huse
Winemaker:

Stephen Huse

Stephen Huse trained in oenology at the University of Bordeaux before building an international career with some of the world’s most iconic estates, including Châteaux Margaux and Mouton-Rothschild, Harlan Estate and Merryvale Vineyards in Napa Valley, and Almaviva in Chile. Now leading Belhara Estate, he draws on this global experience to craft wines of elegance, precision and depth. The estate is sustainability certified, reflecting its commitment to environmental, social and economic responsibility.

"Cabernet Franc has always held a special place for me. In Argentina it produces wines of remarkable finesse and character, yet it rarely gets the attention it deserves beyond our borders. This blend was an opportunity to let Cabernet Franc take centre stage, with Malbec a familiar and much loved partner providing depth and generosity in support." - Stephen Huse, Winemaker.
