The Wine

Country of origin:

Chile

Region:

Casablanca Valley

From the cool climate Casablanca Valley, where Pacific breezes slow ripening and preserve freshness, this Gran Reserva Sauvignon Blanc captures the region's vibrancy and finesse. Sourced from premium sites within the valley, the fruit is shaped by lively acidity and a distinctive saline minerality. An intense nose reveals green pepper, nettle leaf, white peach, lime, grapefruit, jasmine and passionfruit. The palate is bright and focused, layered with citrus and subtle tropical notes, before a long, mineral driven finish.

The Winemaker

Diego Covarrubias Zabala
Winemaker:

Diego Covarrubias Zabala

Set in a spectacular spot between Santiago and Valparaíso, Viña Indómita sits at the heart of the cool coastal Casablanca Valley. Behind the views is a dynamic, forward-thinking winemaking team and one of Chile’s most exciting modern projects. Sustainability and social responsibility are central here, from reducing water and energy use to supporting local employment in both winemaking and wine tourism. Since 2017, winemaker Diego Covarrubias Zabala has led the estate’s work across the Casablanca, Maipo and Bio Bio Valleys, bringing a meticulous, detail-driven approach to wines that capture freshness, balance and a strong sense of place.

"A clear, precise aromatic profile shows notes of grapefruit, lemon peel and jasmine. The wine is engaging and well defined, developing gradually on the palate with real character. Fresh, assertive acidity brings energy and drive, while the light, vibrant body and clean, dry finish give a focused and refreshing overall impression." - Diego Covarrubias Zabala, Winemaker.
