The Wine The Wine
France
Region:Loire - Sancerre
This exceptional Sancerre from the Crochet family domaine is crafted from various plots planted on the region's famous clay and limestone soils. The wine is taut, dry, and has a lovely mineral profile, with an expressive and lively nose featuring notes of just ripe peach and lime. On the palate, it offers a round and smooth attack with aromas of citrus fruits and just a hint of white flowers. Serve it nice and chilled, but not too cold, with seafood, salads or soft tangy goat's cheeses.

Domaine Jean-Marc et Mathieu Crochet is a family-run winery located in the village of Bué, Sancerre. The Crochet family has been cultivating vineyards in this region since the 16th century. Jean-Marc joined his father Bernard in 1980, and his son Mathieu became part of the estate in 2007. Together, they manage 12 hectares of vineyards, comprising 10 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc and 2 hectares of Pinot Noir.
"We are blessed with some wonderful vineyards on our estate and our classic Sancerre is crisp and engaging with plenty of the region's signature minerality." - Mathieu Crochet, Winemaker.
