The Wine

Country of origin:

France

Region:

Champagne

To celebrate our 25th Anniversary, we've reunited with the brilliant Gyéjacquot Frères - our trusted Champagne partners for over 15 years - to craft something truly special, an exclusive Blanc de Noirs. Made from their finest Pinot Noir parcels in the Côte des Bars, this expressive Champagne oozes finesse, fruit, and generosity. It's a sparkling tribute to our shared love of Pinot Noir, the grape behind both Gyéjacquot’s signature style and our much-loved Gaston Declos Brut NV. With its fresh lift and rich, rounded character, this Blanc de Noirs is celebration-ready, but also a top match for food (try it with cheesy nibbles and thank us later).

The Winemaker

Cyril Gyejacquot
Winemaker:

Cyril Gyéjacquot

"Founded in 1970 by brothers Daniel and Michel Gyéjacquot, the House of Gyéjacquot Frères remains a family affair. Today, it is overseen by Michel's sons, Cyril and Frédéric, continuing the brotherly legacy. Nestled in the heart of France’s Aube region, the estate boasts 19 hectares of vineyards spread across eight villages in the renowned Côte des Bar. Pinot Noir, one of the traditional grape varieties of Champagne, dominates their vineyards and is the cornerstone of this House. However, they also cultivate Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc, ensuring a delightful diversity of styles. The winery, set in the picturesque village of Celles-sur-Ource, benefits from the close-knit presence of both brothers and their father, who reside nearby. Cyril and Frédéric are passionate stewards of their vineyards and ardent lovers of nature and uphold the family motto: "Only good grapes can produce good wine." They take immense pride in continuing their family's winemaking tradition, dedicated to producing exceptional Champagne."

"This Blanc de Noirs spent 22 months ageing on its lees before release. It shows the generosity of Pinot Noir - full of fruit, yet with a freshness and delicacy I find very elegant. I love this wine because it truly speaks of the Côte des Bars terroir and you can taste where it comes from." - Cyril Gyéjacquot, Winemaker.
