The Wine The Wine
Australia
Region:Margaret River
The vineyards of Western Australia and the region of Margaret River are heavily influenced by their proximity to the Ocean and, as a result, produce a range of wines that lend depth and diversity to the country's wine portfolio. This is a lovely red, crafted from premium Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and is peppered with signature flavours and characters this boutique region is revered for. Concentrated and layered with an abundance of dark fruits, hints of dried herbs and a little lick of roasted coffee beans. Long elegant and beautifully smooth.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Anonymous
Sometimes we can't tell you who the actual winemaker is. The usual reason for this is that they make expensive wine under their own name and they don't want the world to know they're also supplying their wine much cheaper under a different label. Why do they do this? Either they need an injection of cashflow or they've produced too much and don't want to swamp the market and cheapen their brand (or maybe we've just been able to sweet-talk them into doing us a favour).
"An elegant and balanced Cab Sauv, with lovely aromas of ripe plums, cassis and fresh mint, a supple palate with very fine-grained tannins and a long finish." - Dave Roberts, Buyer.
