From 35-year-old Riesling vines in Alsace, this wine shows intensity, concentration and harmony. Time in bottle has brought balance to its fruit and floral notes, while freshness carries through to a long finish. A dry, powerful Riesling that delivers both character and finesse.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Daniel Gerold
Originating from Alsace, Daniel Gerold was introduced to wine by his father, which eventually inspired him to follow a path towards a career in the industry. After his winemaking studies, Daniel travelled across Burgundy, Champagne and New Zealand, gaining a wide-ranging knowledge of grape varieties, terroirs and techniques. In 2020, he headed back to the Alsace and started to work at Cave de Turckheim.
"We only use plots of vines that are 35 years old and above, some of them far older. The age of the vines provides great concentration and richness. This is a dry Riesling and shows flavours of lemon and purple flowered vervain with a long and complete finish." - Daniel Gerold, Winemaker.
