The Wine The Wine

Region:The Gardner Street Classic is a blend of predominantly floral and herbaceous Bacchus blended with a small proportion of vibrant and zesty Chardonnay. Sourced from vineyards in Sussex, Kent and Essex, the parcels are fermented separately in small lots to allow the expression of their respective sites to shine through. Hints of white currant and lime zest are softened by a creaminess and structure on the palate that delivers a lovely balance of fresh, bright acidity and vibrant elderflower and orchard fruit aromas that jump out of the glass.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Collette O'Leary
The Henners wines are made by a small team of just three people: Collette, Will and Samantha. They are involved in every aspect of wine production; from grape to glass. In fact, each team member will handle every bottle two or three times before release and has oversight of every element. Collette joined the team as Head Winemaker in 2019 and really is a tour de force. She oversees the day to day running of the Estate and all aspects of wine production at Henners. Her mission has been to reinvigorate the brand and develop the winery with cutting edge technology to make sure every wine is flawless.
