The Mediterranean has provided inspiration to some of history's most talented artists and this series of wines (Artists' Playground) doffs the cap to their most colourful and eye-catching pieces. The image of brightly coloured boats bobbing in the harbour is one of the most memorable from visits to spots along France's southern coastline and like the famous artists themselves was an inspiration to the label design. So, pour yourself a chilled glass of this berry fruit-laden rosé and let yourself be whisked away to a sunny seashore, if only metaphorically on this occasion.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Nicolas Rager
Nicolas's love of all things wine began in his student days during several "tastings", and this motivated him to change career path - a decision he has never regretted! His background includes a prestigious role at Compagnie Rhodanienne des Vins, where he excelled in sourcing, blending and developing markets for both on-trade and off-trade channels in France and internationally. In 2019 he ventured out on his own, spending the next five years building a successful business as a consultant and wine broker, assisting wineries with vinification as well as becoming a HVE auditor, and now Boutinot are thrilled to have him join their brilliant team where his role here is keeping him rather busy!
"I always look to keep the colour light on my Mediterranean rosé, but not too pale, as with a little extra depth to the colour comes a touch more brightness and depth to the fruit character which makes it complete as a wine." - Nicolas Rager, Winemaker.
