When winemaker Collette O'Leary approached us with an opportunity to work with Henners (one of the leading producers of quality English sparkling wine) and gain access to some limited-edition parcels of a vintage sparkling wine, we were intrigued. After trying the Foxearle, we were all in! It is a unique offering, showcasing the best grapes from their vineyards in the village of Herstmonceux in East Sussex, all harvested in the 2018 vintage. They only make vintage wines in the best years and it is certainly a cut above non-vintage bubbly - and better value than many vintage bottles from the other side of the English Channel. We think it is a great opportunity for us to champion a home-grown English wine which gives our European counterparts a run for their money!

Collette O'Leary
The Henners wines are made by a small team of just three people: Collette, Will and Samantha. They are involved in every aspect of wine production; from grape to glass. In fact, each team member will handle every bottle two or three times before release and has oversight of every element. Collette joined the team as Head Winemaker in 2019 and really is a tour de force. She oversees the day to day running of the Estate and all aspects of wine production at Henners. Her mission has been to reinvigorate the brand and develop the winery with cutting edge technology to make sure every wine is flawless.
