Wine may be considered art by many, but it's the science behind each particular vineyard that shapes the character of the finished wine: location; climate, soil plus that little enigmatic something that the French call "terroir". This Sauvignon Blanc hails from a fine single site in a unique desert-influenced location, where searing sun coaxes the grapes to perfect ripeness, whilst cooling breezes provide welcome coolness, imbuing the fruit with great depth of flavour. It shows tight and bright tropical fruit but remains restrained and controlled with a lovely refreshing edge to it. A singular expression of a unique and special place.

Divahn Oliphont
Divahn was born and reared in Wellington's Cape Winelands, and he completed his winemaking studies in 2017. He has worked on several projects, and in a short space of time, he now oversees all winemaking operations at Perdeberg. A wonderful guy and a super talented winemaker.
