Ordering

Ordering is easy and you just need an account.

For quick, great-value picks, shop All Wine Cases (top menu: ‘Wines’, then ‘Wine Cases’).

Prefer to choose your own? Browse All Wines, then use ‘Find your perfect wine’ or the filters.

‘Mix your own’ orders have quantity rules. See the next FAQ.

We also offer spirits and gifts (top menu).

Gifts: add a message at checkout. It sits under the label on the box (peel to reveal).

Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT unless stated otherwise. Delivery is added at checkout (see below).

If you’ve received a pre-order email, you can reserve a new release (not everyone gets these).

Your email explains how to reserve. Usually it’s £1 per bottle upfront, with the balance depending on case size.

We take the deposit when you reserve, then the balance when your order is dispatched.

If payment fails and we can’t reach you, we reserve the right to keep your deposit.

If you’re choosing your own wines, the minimum is 12. ‘Mix your own’ holds 12–16 bottles, so larger orders must be in multiples of those.

Set wine cases come in 6–16 (24 for mini bottles), but most are 12-bottle cases.

Spirits can be ordered in any quantity.

You can order wines and spirits together, as long as each product type meets the quantity rules above.

Vouchers

Introductory offers to join Discovery Wine Club or WineBank.

Your voucher includes the URL/link and code to redeem.

Usually limited to one per household. Check the terms and conditions for details.

Vouchers can’t currently be redeemed on the app. Please redeem on the website first.

These cards have a 19-digit number on the reverse and must be redeemed with us directly. Contact us by phone on 0343 224 1001, email help@virginwines.co.uk or live chat.

They can hold any amount. We’ll confirm how much to take off the card and add to your account.

Other vouchers may come from us by email, as a gift, or via Virgin Atlantic Flying Club points.

Your voucher explains how to redeem (usually a URL/link and a code). Email vouchers are often added automatically.

Introductory vouchers are one per household, so you can’t use multiple at once. Other vouchers can usually be stacked, including alongside an introductory voucher.

Some vouchers invalidate Virgin Red points. If you’re unsure, contact us.

Unless you’re using an introductory voucher, vouchers can’t be used on cases that contain food, unless stated otherwise.

Vouchers apply to your next order before other payment methods. You can’t remove them yourself, but we can.

Delivery

Orders over £150: standard delivery is free and nominated-day delivery is £2.

Wine orders under £150: standard delivery is £7.99 or £9.99 for nominated-day delivery.

If your order contains a spirit (except our set cases that include spirits): standard delivery is £4.99 or £6.99 for nominated-day delivery.

Gift orders: standard delivery is £4.99 or £6.99 for nominated-day delivery.

Multiple addresses at checkout: a delivery fee applies per address.

For free delivery on all wine orders, join WineBank.

We deliver to anywhere in the UK and the Isle of Man and do not deliver to Guernsey or Jersey.

Almost all of our cases get delivered the next working day, provided the order was placed before 16:00. Orders placed after 4pm on Friday and over the weekend will be delivered by the following Tuesday.

Working days do not include weekends or bank holidays.

Please be aware that, for security and anti-fraud purposes, we do not deliver to P.O. boxes or third-party forwarding addresses.

After placing your order, you should receive updates via SMS and/or an email from the courier (either DHL or Yodel) which will include a link to track your order.

You can also track your order in your account: person icon (top right) > ‘My Account’ > ‘Order history’.

If you have any problems, please contact us.

Sorry your order is taking longer than expected. Sometimes deliveries can take longer for reasons outside our control.

If your order is delayed by more than a day outside of the expected delivery period (normally three working days), please contact us as soon as possible so we can help.

Returns and Refunds

Want to return something? Contact us via live chat, phone on 0343 224 1001 or email help@virginwines.co.uk to arrange collection.

We’ll agree a weekday for collection. If you’re out, leave it somewhere safe and let us know. Please package it securely. Our courier will bring the label.

Once it’s back and inspected, we’ll issue your refund. Allow three to five working days for your bank to process it.

Damaged or faulty? Please inspect on delivery and tell us as soon as you notice. We’ll collect it and, once returned, either replace it free of charge or issue a full refund.

Corked or tainted bottles? Let us know within one year. Depending on how many are affected, we can offer store credit, a refund or a replacement.

Didn’t enjoy a wine? Let us know within 120 days of delivery. Full case: if you’ve only opened one bottle and it’s the first time you’ve tried it, we’ll collect the rest and refund you once they’re back with us. Individual bottles: tell us which ones you didn’t enjoy. If it’s the first time you’ve tried them, we’ll add store credit equal to what you paid.

Received a different wine? Very occasionally we may need to replace a bottle (for example, if we don’t have stock to fulfil your order). We’ll choose a similar wine you should enjoy, always equal or greater value. We’ll never replace more than three bottles without asking. If you disagree with our choice, please contact us as soon as possible.

Clubs and Memberships

Members of our Discovery Wine Club are billed four times a year plus one more at Christmas, each time receiving 12 bottles selected by our buyers.

You’ll pay less than the full value and every bottle is covered by our money-back guarantee.

You can skip instalments at any time, but you’ll need to contact us by phone on 0343 224 1001, email help@virginwines.co.uk or live chat.

Manage your membership in ‘My Account’ > ‘Account overview’ (upgrade, case preferences, addresses and payments).

To downgrade from First Class or cancel, you’ll need to contact us.

As a WineBank member, you’ll be billed monthly on the 1st, 7th, 14th or 21st. Choose £5–£100 (default £30).

Each payment gets 20% extra to spend on wines and free delivery on all wine orders.

Your balance can be used on wines and wine cases, but not on spirits or gifts.

If you’re also in Discovery Wine Club, we can use your paid-in balance towards instalments (not the interest).

Manage it in ‘My Account’ > ‘Account overview’ (payment holidays, payment date/amount and more).

Payment and Account Details

Payment methods: We accept Visa, MasterCard and PayPal. We accept non-UK cards too, even though we only deliver to the UK and Isle of Man. If a default payment method fails, we reserve the right to attempt payment from any other card registered on your account.

Change payment details: person icon (top right) > ‘My Account’ > ‘Payment details’ > ‘Add a new payment method’. To change your default, add a new one and select the default button on the right-hand side. You can’t delete payment methods online. Contact us by phone on 0343 224 1001, email help@virginwines.co.uk or live chat.

Change address: person icon (top right) > ‘My Account’ > ‘Address details’ > ‘Add new address’ > ‘Save’. Set default delivery/billing on the right-hand side of your chosen address. For pre-orders already placed, contact us and we can help.

Contact preferences: person icon (top right) > ‘My Account’ > ‘Contact methods’. If you opt out, we’ll still contact you when needed for your account (eg order and delivery updates).

Password: Forgot it? Click ‘Forgotten password?’ under the password field and follow the reset email. Want to change it? person icon (top right) > ‘My Account’ > ‘Change password’.

Saved items: While logged in, add bottles to ‘Saved items’, then view them via person icon (top right) > ‘Saved items’.

Refer a friend: Log in and go to ‘My Account’ > ‘Refer a friend’. If they buy using your referral, we’ll give you £25 to spend with us. You’ll need to have placed at least one order to access this.

Virgin Points

Set up accounts: Create a Virgin Wines account (or log in) at www.virginwines.co.uk/login. If needed, create a Virgin Red account via their website or app.

Pair them: In your Virgin Wines account, go to ‘Personal Details’ and enter your Virgin Red or Virgin Atlantic Loyalty ID to link the two.

Earn points: Points can be earned on all products including wines, spirits and gifts available through Virgin Wines.

When you’ll see them: Eligible purchases go through an approval process and points take a minimum of 28 days to be credited to your Virgin Red account. If you return an order or request a refund, the points from that transaction will be deducted.

Two points per £1 spent: For every £1 you spend on wines, spirits and gifts available at Virgin Wines, you will earn two Virgin points.

Cash only: Points are awarded for cash only, excluding payments made through other means such as promotional credits or vouchers.

Excludes WineBank interest: Purchases made using WineBank interest or any promotional vouchers do not qualify for earning Virgin points. Only spending cash balances will earn you points.

Monetary gift vouchers: If you purchase monetary gift vouchers, the points will be awarded at the time of purchase, not when the voucher is redeemed.

First, double-check your Virgin Wines and Virgin Red accounts are correctly paired.

Please allow a minimum 28 days for points to be credited.

If your points still aren’t showing, contact our customer service team and have your order number ready.

Rate & Win

Each wine you rate earns you a ticket into our prize draw, so the more you rate, the more chances you have.

App

Get started: Download the Virgin Wines app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), then follow the prompts to create an account or log in.

Help in the app: Visit the Help & FAQ section in the Discover tab to view all the ways to get in touch.

Updates: Update the Virgin Wines app in the App Store or Google Play. For system updates, go to your device settings and follow the update steps.

Fees: You can purchase wines in the app using your card or WineBank balance. There are no extra fees to use the app itself.

Personal details: To update details such as your address, phone number or name, head to the Account section in the app.

If you suspect someone might access your account, contact our Customer Services team immediately. You can also change your password online to secure your account.
