Barbera can create seriously dense wines that require extended cellaring to reach their peak. But it is quite versatile and can be shaped by winemakers into lighter, early-drinking reds that are packed with easy to appreciate aromas and flavours of raspberries, plums and cherries. Araldica has achieved the latter. On the palate there's sour cherry, raspberry coulis and an abundance of tangy red fruit, gentle tannins and a savoury spiciness to finish. A classic Italian wine that will develop nicely with age.
