Region:California - Lodi
Unleash the bold character of The Intrepid Bear Cabernet Sauvignon. Crafted in California’s Lodi region, this richly flavoured red is packed with blackcurrant and cassis, layered with notes of liquorice, coconut, leather and vanilla. Generous yet refined, it combines concentration with structure, delivering a smooth, powerful expression of California Cabernet that lingers long on the finish. This vintage already benefits from some bottle age, meaning the fruit, oak and tannins have had time to knit together beautifully, making it wonderfully approachable today.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Heather Nenow
Heather Nenow's winemaking journey began with a thirst for knowledge and adventure, leading her to the vineyards of Italy and Chile, where she refined her expertise in winemaking and vineyard management. Returning to California, she crafted wines for the iconic E. & J. Gallo, establishing herself in the industry. Heather's passion for both winemaking and exploration inspired her to work as a consultant, balancing travel with her deep connection to Californian wine. In 2022, she joined the LangeTwins Family Winery team, collaborating with renowned winemaker David Akiyoshi, where her adventurous spirit and expertise continue to shape exceptional wines.
"This delicately oaked Cabernet has benefited from a period of bottle ageing, adding layers of complexity and refinement. The cooler conditions during the growing season allowed the grapes to remain on the vine until late October, developing exceptional structure alongside concentrated dark fruit character." - Heather Nenow, Winemaker.
