Taittinger Brut Réserve is one of the few grande marque Champagnes still family-owned, with a heritage dating back to 1734. Crafted from 40% Chardonnay and 60% Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier from over 35 vineyards and vintages, its unusually high Chardonnay content lends a signature freshness, refinement and elegance. Aged for at least three years in Taittinger's historic cellars, it offers fine bubbles, delicate fruit and brioche aromas and a perfectly balanced palate, making it a Champagne celebrated worldwide for its finesse and ideal for both special occasions and effortless enjoyment.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Alexandre Ponnavoy
Since 2018, Alexandre Ponnavoy has been the guardian of Taittinger's signature elegance. With a background in oenology and experience across renowned French wine regions, he blends over 35 crus and oversees years of cellar ageing to craft Champagnes of freshness, finesse and depth - staying true to the family's heritage while embracing innovation.
"Taittinger considers it an honour to produce a Brut champagne every year without exception. The brilliant body is golden yellow in colour. The bubbles are fine, while the foam is discreet yet lingering. The nose, very open and expressive, delivers aromas of fruit and brioche. It also gives off the fragrance of peach, white flowers (hawthorn, acacia) and vanilla pod. The entry onto the palate is lively, fresh and in total harmony. This is a delicate wine with flavours of fresh fruit and honey." - Alexandre Ponnavoy, Winemaker.
