The Leitz family's winemaking in Rüdesheim began in 1744. Johannes Leitz is the 3rd generation to take over, in 1985, growing the estate from 2.9 to nearly 120 hectares. Now internationally acclaimed, he remains devoted to preserving Rüdesheim's historic vineyards.
