Region:Vin De France
A sensational, bespoke made, full-bodied French red that brings together a selection of some of the best wines on offer from the 2024 vintage across the south of France. We settled on using three components, two exceptional Syrahs, one grown on wonderful terroir of red clay and pebble stones, the other a fruit-bomb that is made from three carefully selected parcels from a historic (secret) family-owned estate. The icing on the cake with this cuvée is a small parcel of super concentrated, intensely fruity barrel-aged wine that comes from a very famous village. A red to savour with Sunday roasts or a selection of punchy cheeses.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Guillaume Létang
Winemaker Guillaume Létang could be said to have wine in his blood coming, as he does, from the north of Burgundy, near Chablis. After studying at Dijon University he started his career in 1998 in the Burgundy region, primarily in Maconnais and Beaujolais. With 8 years experience as a Cellar Master and 5 as Consultant Winemaker his knowledge and experience is in ever increasing demand.
"Concentrated dark berry fruit with underlying notes of cappuccino on the nose and the palate starts with bright, crunchy up-front fruit leading into suave, textural flavours combining minerality and spice from the Syrah with black forest cherry and chocolate notes from the Grenache and a carefully selected oak component." - Guillaume Létang, Winemaker.
