Eric Boissenot
Eric Boissenot is one of the most respected oenologists on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, renowned for his work with prestigious Médoc estates. His expertise in viticulture and winemaking has contributed to the success of Château Desmirail, owned by the Lurton family, notably Denis Lurton, who has carried on his father Lucien's legacy. With over 90% of his clients coming from top Médoc properties like Latour, Lafite, and Margaux, Boissenot's influence is widespread, celebrated for his focus on balance, elegance, and the exceptional quality of Cabernet in the region.
"At Château Desmirail, we always wait for our Cabernet Sauvignon like a diva, ensuring it reaches perfect ripeness. The 2014 vintage was exceptional, with the fine weather of September and October providing the ideal conditions for full maturity. The Merlots were generous, and the Cabernets, with their balanced elegance, promised a wine of great finesse. It's a vintage we can proudly celebrate." - Eric Boissenot, Winemaker.
