The Wine

Country of origin:

Australia

Region:

South Eastern Australia

One morning, as a local Skipper was gliding along the coastline of Australia, he came across a cove. A tranquil, peaceful, hidden gem of the coastline. He was in awe of what he had found. Just like our local Skipper, as we were scouring the latest Australian vintage we came across this small parcel of vibrant Sauvignon Blanc. Our own hidden gem! A wine discovery we're super keen to share and look forward to receiving your feedback and ratings.

The Winemaker

Andrea Maxell
Winemaker:

Andréa Maxwell

Andréa grew up in South Africa and completed her degree in Viticulture & Oenology at the University of Stellenbosch. Her love for wine developed early, starting a wine course while still in school. After two vintages in South Africa, she moved to Australia and has been ingrained in the industry since. In her spare time, she enjoys walking with her partner and their gorgeous English Cocker Spaniel, Darcy, through their own Shiraz vineyard in the heart of McLaren Vale.

If you talk about wine, it doesn’t matter what language you speak. It will intrinsically connect you to people.

"We harvest this parcel slightly earlier than some of our neighbours as we love the bright crunchy fresh herbaceous notes that develop during winemaking all thanks to that little bit of extra natural acidity of an early pick." - Andréa Maxwell, Winemaker.
