Tuffers' Tipples are all selected by Phil himself, with the assistance of our Head Wine Buyer, Andrew Baker. During Phil's first Ashes tour of 1990/91, he and a few of the England team headed down South of Perth to Margaret River. He was blown away by the beautiful landscapes, stunning climate and, most importantly, the delicious wines! The zesty Sauvignon Blanc proved a hit in the warm sunshine, so now, 30 years on, Phil is excited to have his own wine from the region. This wine explodes with flavours of ripe tropical fruit and a touch of crisp gooseberry on the finish!

Franklin Tate's adventure began in 1974, as his parents planted their first grapes in Margaret River and he came along for the ride. They taught him everything he needed to know about winemaking and viticulture, and today he and his wife, Heather, have their own family business (Miles from Nowhere) where they make wines that amplify the best of this region.
