The Wine The Wine

Region:REAL Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Tea is built on centuries of fermentation experience in Champagne and sparkling wines. It has all the quality and mouthfeel of its alcoholic cousins but none of the headache. Made by fermenting specially selected tea (and when we say specially selected - REAL have experimented with over 150 teas to find the very best). This process produces delicate fruit notes, fizz and a delightful sourness. A naturally occurring bacteria then eats up the alcohol to leave a refreshing sparkling beverage. Dry Dragon is made from a Chinese pan-fired Dragonwell green tea. It can be enjoyed on its own or paired with foods you'd normally serve alongside a Sauvignon Blanc: shellfish dishes, green vegetables such as broccoli and asparagus, or green salads.

David Begg
REAL began at the start of 2016 when founder, David Begg, had all but given up drinking. A friend introduced him to kombucha and fermented sparkling tea, and he soon realised that there was a food friendly alternative to wine. So, he put together a small team - with nutrition innovator, Adrian Hodgson, and tea expert, Will Battle, to create REAL Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Tea. Their range is created from exquisite loose-leaf teas with the same respect that a winemaker affords their grapes and is fermented with the same care and passion as a fine wine.
