This delightful Rosé is made from an almost forgotten grape variety called Uva di Troia. It is named after the Puglian town of Troia which, legend has it, was founded by the heroic Greek warrior, Diomedes, after the siege and sacking of ancient Troy. Uva di Troia is well adapted to the hot, Mediterranean climate of this region, but is rarely seen outside of Puglia. Yet Donato Giuliani prizes this grape for its ability to create crisp and delicately fruity wines.
