Winemaker Enrico Raber set out to make a world class wine with the highest levels of procyanidins - a type of polyphenol (which you might know as antioxidants) - that he could. The resulting wine is not dissimilar to an appassimento style red, with beautifully mature flavours of figs and dried fruits and a classical northern Italian acidity, yet there's still plenty of fruit weight to fill the mouth.
