Jean-Marc's story is typical of the unique and magical way in which Burgundy works. It's a story of inheritance, inheriting both vines and pedigree from his wine-guru grandfather Etienne Sauzet. These prized vineyards were split amongst Jean-Marc and his siblings according to Napoleonic Code and each have taken their own direction. Jean-Marc has acquired additional vineyard area since and is one of the very few growers in Burgundy to make both red and white wine at a truly world class level.
