Region:Bordeaux - Saint-Émilion
Nestled between Saint-Emilion and Pomerol, Montagne Saint-Émilion is located amidst the most prestigious terroirs of Right Bank Bordeaux. This is why many critics, including Robert Parker, consider wines from this region to be exceptional value for money when compared to their pricey neighbours. Château Haut Langlade is a shining example of the quality found here - and it's got the medals to prove it. A year in oak barrels imparts toasty and sweet spice notes which sit alongside ripe blackberry, plum and lightly herbaceous nuances, with some powerful and pleasant tannins. The bottle age then adds layers of earthiness, smoke, and tobacco which linger on into a long finish.
