Tucked up the back of the pretty township of Franschhoek, up a winding dirt road which opens out to an extraordinary untamed mountain, at Wildeberg - or Wild Mountain - winery JD Rossouw creates unique wines. This Shiraz was a bit of an experiment, where JD stopped the fermentation a little earlier than normal. This means you get a little less alcohol, great fresh Shiraz flavours and a huge whack of grape sweetness that fills the mouth! Its sweet, lusciousness is beautifully balanced by peppery spice and plush tannins.
