The low/no-alcohol category is certainly growing. But it's a relatively new demand that many producers haven't caught up with yet so the quality can be very hit-and-miss. However, on a recent trip to Germany we met Jurgen Hofmann and we're so glad we did. He makes a superb frizzante Muller Thurgau that is genuine competition for Prosecco. But he's more an innovator than an imitator and with cutting edge techniques he can dealcoholize this wine without losing an iota of the wine's essence. Very impressive, and touted by us as being a big hit.
