Chardonnay is a wonderful grape variety with natural crisp apple fruit characters. The key is not to push it too hard in the vineyard and the winery and aim to capture freshness and not richness. All too often Chilean examples are dense with aromas that remind of over ripe bananas. Here we avoid that like the plague. Astro Costera is textured and balanced with gentle tropical fruit notes and works brilliantly with roasts of chicken or pork.
