The vineyards of Sonnenuhr on the Mosel River has everything the Riesling grape needs to produce wine with interest but drinkability too. The steep south-facing slopes maximise the vines' exposure to the sun so the grapes develop great ripeness and richness to the apple and citrus fruit flavours, but the very manual handling of this wine from vine to bottle allows expression of some wonderful mineral and herbal complexity that would just never get boring.
