A whopping 85% of the grapes come from Grands and Premiers Crus vineyards and the lovely, light salmon colour is thanks to the addition of powerful Pinot Noir from vineyards in Ay and Verzenay fermented into red wine. The nose has reminders of redcurrant and raspberry with gentle, spicy notes. The palate is exceptionally well structured, perfectly combining power with freshness. An amazing aperitif but also works brilliantly with barbequed prawns and fresh fruit salads.

"Bollinger Rosé is an assembly of over 85% Grand and Premier Crus. It is made up of 62% Pinot Noir, 24% Chardonnay and 14% Meunier. The red wine acts as an agent of style, with the addition of just 5-6% giving the wine its power. The nose shows the nobility of red berries: hints of redcurrant, cherry and wild strawberry with a spicy touch, not unlike Special Cuvée. On the palate it has a subtle combination of structure, length and vivacity, with a tannic finish due to the addition of red wine. The bubbles are as fine as velvet, with flavours of wild berries." - Émilien Boutillat, Winemaker.
