Iconic New Zealand producer, Cloudy Bay, brings us this fantastic, top quality red - one that would almost certainly be shouting out for a higher price tag had it been produced in Pinot Noir's spiritual home of Burgundy. There's a vibrant core of red fruits clad in a silky, luscious lining and a nose revealing aromas of strawberries, earthy fresh mushrooms and smoky spice. This wine will develop beautifully in the bottle over the next 7-8 years but allocation is limited so buy now to avoid disappointment.

Over a year ago

This wine is a lightweight. I expected a lot more for a wine at this price. The flavour was so subtle it was lost with food. Perhaps it relies on the reputation of the Sauvignon Blanc.
