'Ladera' means slope, as this wine takes its name from the south-facing angle of its vineyard. Bringing together two varieties - Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec - has resulted in a wine with concentration, balance and a wonderful purity of fruit the Ladera vineyard is famed for. Use of French oak was judged to perfection, not overshadowing the purity of fruit, but adding layers of complexity. This is pretty special. A spicy red and black berry-scented wine that'll mature gracefully over the years.

The latest stunning creation from Germán and his team, fast becoming Chilean masters of the grape. There is a depth of fruit on the nose with the flavours all playing a black card - blackcurrant, blackberry and black cherries are all distinctly noticeable. With layers of vanilla spice and hints of mint mingle with the delicious, ripe black fruit, it's no wonder this vegan wine is so renowned. Everything is wrapped in a blanket of silky tannins. Echoes of the Bordeaux style, but with the thumping, fruit core only the best New World winemakers can produce.

This wine reflects that same untamed character, crafted in Chile's Valle Central with deep black cherry and bramble at its core, touches of dried fruit and coconut adding richness, and a warm toasty finish that lingers long after the first taste. A truly toothsome red shaped by the land it comes from.
