Our Cape Vintners range explores the many varieties South Africa's vineyards have to offer and brings them together in small batch releases. By selecting little parcels of unique wine from carefully selected sites, it allows for getting creative on the winery's blending bench. This exciting white is a blend of 40% Chenin Blanc, 30% Grenache Blanc, 20% Marsanne and 10% Palomino. The wine starts with a burst of sweet fruit followed by crisp, fresh lemon with a touch of saltiness to the finish.

In March 2024, our very own Wine Buyer, Sophie Lord, packed her bags and jetted off to sunny California on a quest to uncover new gems for our expanding portfolio. She headed to California's Lodi region, where she partnered with the LangeTwins Winery. This family-owned estate, now in its fifth generation, has been cultivating vines in Lodi since 1916, and is renowned for its exceptional winemaking team. After an afternoon blending with winemaker Heather Nenow, Sophie handpicked the finest parcels to create a lively Chardonnay. Bursting with orchard and tropical fruits, and hints of buttered popcorn, this wine beautifully captures the essence of iconic Californian Chardonnay.

Konstantia Chenin Block 27, which is at least 40 years old, provides the fruit for this wine. This extraordinary drop shows a limey, floral nose, a touch candied, with chalk and almond notes. The lovely slick fore-palate has layers of freshly minted flavours: white currant, white-flesh peach, and nectarine. The delicate flavours sparkle on a hugely focused palate, acids massaging the best out of the fruit, leading to a resounding finish of great intensity and mouth-watering joy.
