Surrounded by dozens of samples and measuring cylinders we were testing and tweaking until late in the evening, getting things just how we know you like your southern French reds. A wine full of red and black fruit, grippy but structured tannins and a balanced, long and juicy finish.

Vintage expression in wine is a wonderful thing but removing that restriction and having access to all the barrels regardless of age can yield a really special wine. When the winemaker Steve Grimley first started his winemaking career, he was obsessed with France's Northern Rhône. Many years later he has taken inspiration from the Northern Rhône to create this Shiraz Viognier blend. By adding a dash of high-end Viognier, he has created a polished feel to the wine's texture, bringing out more of Shiraz's berry fruited charms.
