The Destileria Abasolo is located in the heart of the Jilotepec region in Mexico at an altitude of 7,800 feet, making it one of the highest distilleries in the world and no other whisky in existence is made like Abasolo. It utilises a 4,000 year old Mesoamerican cooking technique as part of the production to release the flavour held in the corn. It is carefully crafted from the finest, non-GMO, ancestral corn, cultivated and passed down for more than 200 generations by local farmers for its distinct, extraordinary flavour. The resulting whisky is smooth with notes of roasted corn, toffee, and hints of caramel and a honeyed palate with vanilla, black tea and leather on the finish.
