Cabal 1513 brings together five carefully selected Caribbean rums that have all been aged in American oak, ex-bourbon barrels. All are made from a molasses base spirit and combine column and pot still production to create a wonderfully balanced rum. What makes this rum truly unique though is that it is finished in first fill Pedro Ximenez butts, resting for a three-month period in Speyside, Scotland. This finishing period adds a distinctive smooth finish and additional richness to the flavour profile. We absolutely loved it during a recent rum tasting at the office and snapped up a few cases from the exceptionally small amount released.
