The 151 proof (US strength) took several years of tasting and blending by the Gosling Master Distillers before release. It was a tough task working with rums at such hefty ABVs. Trying to get a level of smoothness into the finished liquor was almost imposible. However, we feel they've worked wonders, although we advise that you use it very sparingly in the making of the classic ginger beer cocktail - the dark 'N' stormy.
