Bordeaux has long been regarded as one of the world's great wine regions, but there's so much more to it than the famous names. With a huge variety of appellations, diverse terroirs and an exciting new wave of winemakers, there's always something new to discover. From renowned appellations such as Saint-Émilion, Margaux and Pauillac to lesser-known gems like the Côtes de Bordeaux, where some of Bordeaux's best-value reds can still be found, the region offers something for every wine lover. And while it's best known for its classic red blends, Bordeaux also produces fantastic dry whites, elegant sweet wines and plenty of exciting modern styles.

Wine buyer Issy Wardlow has recently taken on Bordeaux and has been busy exploring the region's diverse range of producers and styles. The result is a collection of exciting new listings that showcase both the classic and contemporary sides of Bordeaux.

• A temperate maritime climate.
• Flanked by two rivers (the Dordogne and the Garonne), the Atlantic coast and the Gironde estuary, our vineyards benefit from a favourable, freshwater ecosystem.
• Its soils are rich in geological diversity from gravel, pebbles and fine sand in the south, to limestone north of the Dordogne, and clay between Garonne and Dordogne.
• Grape varieties perfectly suited to our climate and soil! Although our production has evolved over the years as the climate has changed, our grape varieties have withstood the passage of time.
