First thing you'll notice about the Legacy when you pour it is its colour. There's been very little colour extracted in the mash for this one, and with a careful use of Amarillo and Cascade hops this is about as vibrant and zesty a real ale as you're likely to find. Lager-like refreshment with ale-like depth of flavour.

Mauldons takes pride in its history but doesn't rest on its laurels either, still pushing brewing quality to the limit and still satisfying its customers in today's very competitive market. The Silver Adder is a great refreshing style, very pale malt character with a fresh, crisp and aromatic hop presence.

A well-made lager is a very popular style with VW customers and amongst the staff. So, when we ran a poll to ask our loyal beer customers what beer we should make next, it was no surprise that a pale and crisp German-style lager with subtle spice came out on top. So, we teamed up with Full Circle in Newcastle, devised a recipe, and produced exactly that. You need real brewing expertise to make a proper lager and in Full Circle we have one of the best in the business and couldn't be happier with this new addition to our very own Kaleidoscope range.

What a revelation this was when it landed locally on the pumps in East Anglia. One of the first beers to come out of the new-look Adnams approach to modern brewing and it's quickly become a dead cert in the portfolio. Lovely, well-made lager texture but deliciously integrated hop notes.
