Morandina is a blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and once harvested, by hand of course, they are dried in a fruttaio (drying room), fermented and then matured for 18 months in oak casks before bottling. The finished wine combines black cherry fruit purity with alpine herbs, spice and silky smooth tannins. The best word to describe this wine is - elegance.
Graziano Pra is a name synonymous with some of the best Soave, if not THE best Soave, Italy has to offer. His estate can be located in the commune of Monteforte D'Alpone in the very heart of the Soave Classico district.
Graziano fulfilled a lifelong ambition in 2000 when he purchased a small vineyard in the east of Valpolicella, and my word did he choose well! He chose a site located at 450m altitude planted on poor quality steep glacial marl slopes that yield a meagre quantity of richly concentrated grapes.
If you relish a challenge and love to show off, then research how to pronounce the name of this blinder correctly. Buy a bottle and introduce it (and your newfound esoteric knowledge) at a dinner party. It's Italian and quite brilliant.

From a southern sloping vineyard, situated above the medieval village of Rions, sporting very special old vines that are exposed to the sun all day long. A mix of clay and sandstone gives a lovely refinement to the sundrenched fruit. The quality here from the Allison's is absolutely brilliant.
A definitive favourite flavour. This has a heavenly scent of peonies and irises, buoyed by a ripe texture with hidden depths of character, smooth rich and satisfying. A polished gem.
