Region:Loire - Touraine
A symphony of violets, cherries, chocolate and butterscotch scents matched only by flavours of cherries and plums, plus hints of spice, nougat and liquorice, with a silky texture. A large part of David and Lynne Levin's passions are focused on three vineyard sites; Oisly, Choussy and Bourre; that produce their stunning wines. They describe their style as an amalgam of Old World tradition and New World finesse.

The Winemakers
David and Lynne Levin's day jobs consist of running the Capital Hotel, a chic bolthole nestled in a quiet side-street just by Harrods. But a large part of David and Lynnes' passions are reserved for the three vineyard sites of Oisly, Choussy and Bourre that produce their stunning wines. They describe their style as an amalgam of Old World tradition and New World style. They are aided and abetted by a lovely young French winemaker, Benjamin Delobel, whose ambitions match their own. In turn they are all under the watchful eye of one of the great masters of the Loire, and a very particular eco-warrior himself, Claude Bourguignon.
"Made only in exceptional vintages, Madame L is a complex expression of 30-year and 44-year-old Gamay vines farmed with organic, sustainable vineyard practices, using traditional artisan winemaking. Expect complex flavours of cherries and plums with hints of spice, nougat and liquorice." David and Lynne Levin and Benjamin Delobel, Winemakers.
