The Wine The Wine
Germany
Region:Mosel
This is a Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) that shows that it can deliver some power and structure in the glass. It's not always the go-to when you're looking for a more delicate and elegant glass of red. With a touch more extraction, this wine is showing excellent depth and potential to stand up to hearty dishes. And now also with a bit of age in bottle, the complex savoury characters are starting to emerge. A very engaging bottle of wine!
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Peter Burens
After years of apprenticeships and hiking through vineyards in Germany and Oregon, Peter started making his own wines in 2015. Together with his wife Eva they are constantly pushing boundaries and creating exceptional wines.
"Powerful, very varietal Pinot Noir with a ruby red colour typical of Pinot Noir. The attractive fruity bouquet is reminiscent of strawberries, raspberries and cherries. In the mouth, the wine is very full-bodied with complex aromas. The harmony of the taste, the balanced tannin pressure and the length of the finish are remarkable." - Peter Burens, Winemaker.
