This is a really interesting, energetic and exciting bottle of wine. From a lovely domaine with some fantastic vineyards in the village of Montigny around 20km south from the town of Sancerre. Here the soils have lots of limestone but the wines produced have a wonderful softness and that is a signature of the estate. The nose is floral, especially reminiscent of elderflower. Passion fruit and apricot are obvious on the palate and there's weight and richness that Sancerre is rarely associated with. A unique wine that fans of Sauvignon Blanc will love.
