7 Ondas is a beacon of Dão's recent move towards more class and restraint in its red wines, and away from the heavily tannic and drying reds of the past. This is a great choice in our humble opinion because the granitic soils of Dão can give the wine great expression and freshness if given half a chance, and the heavy colour and tannin extraction of days gone by smothers all of those interesting characteristics. Very nicely put together and a great sign of exciting things to come.
